Fascinated and enthralled by the world of film and stage at a young age, Lauren displayed a strong interest in performance early on in her childhood. Throughout her formative years she was an active observer and visual learner. She possessed a vivid imagination, as well as a passion for storytelling, and was encouraged to explore, self-study, and develop creatively and artistically. Having moved frequently growing up, both nationally and internationally, she was provided the unique opportunity to learn about the world through exposure to an array of environments, diverse perspectives, and belief systems.
With her interests having been clearly defined, she pursued studies in dance, performing arts, visual arts, writing, and musical theater and has since trained and performed extensively in Shakespearean acting, improv, Method acting, Meisner Technique, Stanislavski’s Method, accent training and voiceover. Along with her performing arts training, she studied film production and screenwriting at USC and UCLA producing, directing and editing her own short films, as well as writing multiple screenplays for her final projects. In addition, she has also studied psychology, human behavior, and philosophy.
Lauren’s career in the arts initially began as a freelance photographer. During one of her photoshoots she was asked by a client if she would be interested in modeling. Quickly realizing how much she enjoyed being on the other side of the camera, she continued to take on jobs modeling, which led to work in print, catalog, fine art, fashion, avant-garde, and runway. She also had the honor of being featured at The Annenberg Space for Photography in Los Angeles and the opportunity to travel and live/work in Japan for a short time. More recently, Lauren has shifted her energy back to acting, specifically exploring opportunities in film and voiceover. She continues to cultivate creative relationships and is gaining momentum in her voiceover career, which is what she is currently most focused on. In her spare time she enjoys studying and honing her craft, traveling, friending every and any animal she encounters, a good cup of coffee, drawing, creative writing, working on music, and eating!
